I entered the competition in July and have been waiting anxiously ever since for the judges to announce the winners.
The EPSON International Pano Awards is the biggest competition of it’s kind, in the world, celebrating panorama photography in all it’s forms. The Pano Awards competition is no more than 5 five years old, but has already become a showcase for the worlds best photographers specializing in panoramic photography. Only in the last two years has the competition been open for interactive VR panoramas.
The competition is fierce and therefore I am extremely happy, that I won bronze for two out of four images, that I entered in the VR/360 category. This year the competition was even harder as the photos needed an even higher score to receive a bronze award.
I have uploaded the winning images again in the highest possible resolution so that you can enjoy every little detail. You will need a real computer with flash to see the images as i’m still working on a solution to view panorama images on IOS. However the images do look better on a big screen.
The first image is from the Icehotel in northern Sweden. Many of you who followed my Christmas calendar will probably remember this image. The room is called Blue Marine. The image is part of a panorama tour that can be viewed here
The second image is from Lofoten in Norway. This is the only good image from the trip, since the sky was filled with milky white clouds with no texture. However the clouds parted long enough for me to grab my tripod and capture this compelling image. Which seems to capture the feel of the light and the fjords that midsummer’s night.

I will be entering again next year hopefully with some awesome images from Africa.
